ECHOES OF WINTER
Om motivet
A raw, photographic mountain landscape captured in a transitional moment between winter and early spring — snow still lingers on the peaks and in the valleys, while exposed shrubs and dry grass create a richness of earthy browns. The composition leads the eye from the dark, dense undergrowth in the foreground, through the calm surface of a mountain pond, to snow-capped peaks disappearing into the mist. The color palette is deliberately muted and melancholic — cool grays of the sky, warm taupe of dry grasses, and deep browns of bare branches dominate, with the only accent of life in the form of dark-green spruces. The whole radiates raw silence and wild, untouched nature.
